Jon Panker:
Paddington Feature Member

Our Paddington June member of the month has been here so long you’d think he’s part of the furniture. Jon Panker flapped his wings all the way from the land of the free and home of the brave to land on the elusive perch of the BBB community in March 2016. Jon is a true gem and we have loved having him as one of the monarchs of the infamous 6:30 am crew for the last 4 years.

I sat down with Jon this week to ask him the all-important question: what has kept him coming down day in day out for the last four years?

His response, “Knowing that I can show up every day, see my friends and train with coaches that are really looking out for me.”

Choosing to surround himself with like-minded people, who all share the same mindset is another part of why Jon chooses to give up prime pillow position and come down to Paddington in the wee hours of the morning. He explained why he chose the lifestyle that is BBB.

“The best thing about this environment is the people and the commitment everybody has to elevating the group as a whole,” he shared.

“There is an old saying that says, the first step to climbing a mountain is crossing the threshold, so I would say just walk through the door and get started, and you really won’t regret it.”

When asked what he would say to someone who was apprehensive of starting at Body by Brando, he responded in a way only a wise elder of the tribe could.

“There is an old saying that says, the first step to climbing a mountain is crossing the threshold, so I would say just walk through the door and get started, and you really won’t regret it,” he said.

Jon now holds the title of our first-ever three-time member of the month and it is no surprise why. “We all want to be the best, but the real competition is with yourself and bringing out the best in yourself day in and day out” he explained.

So if you’re in need of some wise words from a true BBB OG, where will you find the legend that is Jon Panker? Down at the BBB Paddington facility, every morning at 6:30 busting out huge unbroken sets of push-ups and strict pull-ups, and making everybody’s morning that much better.
