The Italian stallion is the August member of the for 2021! Enrico joined BBB Paddington just over 4 years ago and has been a staple of the morning crew since then. Coming from a semi professional tennis background he joined us with a performance mindset and has attacked every workout we have put in front of him.
However, his fitness journey has not been without bumps in the road. A hip injury from a lifetime of running the courts caught up to him and a year ago and surgery put him out of action for a few months. He performed his rehab with the same diligence and consistency that he uses inside the gym and is now back amongst the crew!
His mantra aligns with the key pillars of BBB, “To seek good performances you need to have a good lifestyle, good nutrition and good mobility”. This holistic approach has seen him create great friendships within the BBB community and he has gone out of his way to get a huge chunk of the Maccabi Tennis pros to join team BBB as well.
Enrico is grateful for the scalability of the program, which has allowed him to train when injured and increase the intensity now that he is back up to full steam again, all within the same class structure. “The training sessions are so complete that it’s enough to maintain and have a good pain free life”.
Life is never without challenges, after recovering from surgery Enrico got thrown the COVID curveball like the rest of us and the training landscape changed with NSW Health restrictions being put in place. So what does Enrico think of the current training environment? “My first rule is, it has to be easy. Coming here for me is super easy, I have all my equipment, all of the schedules, all of the videos for the program and I sit there in the sun. It’s the best part of my day!”.
Big congrats to Enrico for taking the spot of MOTM! I only wish the coaches at BBB could have made you as proud of us as we are of you after all the tennis lessons.
