What is it?

We have designed the coaches academy to “bridge the gap” between typical certs and world class coaches. We aim to give PT’s the tools and resources they need to be able to offer their clients VALUE. 

Typical certificates often represent an entry point to the human body and how it works. They, however, lack the depth and breadth to cover how the body really works (especially in it’s functional movement capacity). Once you understand this information, it opens the gateway to world class programming, rapport building and developing REAL results for your clients.

The fitness industry is full of “instructors”, but often lacks “coaches”. Those who go can further than outlining and demonstrating a workout, and can first of all understand, and then convey the principles needed to transform the way their clients look, move, think and feel. 

 

The difference between a good coach and a great coach is their ability to simplify and convey complex tasks, whilst commanding the room in an authentic way.

 

We know that most people get their certificates from a 6-week online, “tick the box and get your piece of paper” style course, which is fine, but it doesn’t give you the tools to feel competent and confident in taking clients and getting them results.

 

Which is why we have created Functional Coaches Academy. 

 

Why us

Dan and Brando are both University-qualified Exercise Scientists and Exercise Physiologists, with a combined 20+ years of experience with both the athletic and general populations, who currently run 2 x 7-figure facilities with over 400 active total clients and a rapidly growing online community.


Together, we have done almost every tertiary and supplementary education course you could think of and now we want to take the best parts of our education-filled brains and pass them onto you. 

From doing so many courses ourselves and applying them in the gyms we run, we know what is useful and what isn’t. 

We have designed this course to maximise the good bits and fill in the missing links, whilst teaching you how to practically apply what you’ve learned.

How it works?

It will be a 6-month online course delivered via our membership portal and Facebook group. 

The program is designed for around 2-3 hours per week of work/study + 60-90 minutes of training / following the program each day. 

You’ll have certain checkpoints and assessments to complete along the way (physical and theoretical) so that we know you’re doing the work.

A. Learning how to identify and define the standard

B. Learning and applying both strength and conditioning to help your clients drop body fat, build muscle, increase performance and stay injury-free. 

C. Understanding the biomechanical reasoning as to why clients should be doing and moving in certain ways. 

D. Learn how to articulate the above in a concise manner and as little cues as possible. 

 

Whilst this may seem simple. Perfecting the above is a complex interplay between science, art and psychology.
