Say G’day to our Feature Member ‘Vats’.
When he isn’t killing it in the gym, he is studying to be a software engineer. #nerdddd
Vats has been with us now for almost 2 years, and what a journey it has been.
He was your typical client who had been referred to us by a friend of his and had followed us on social media for a while, but from the outside looking in, thought that he was incapable of achieving what our other members had accomplished.
“I had only ever squatted/deadlifted/used isolation machines prior and the thought of Olympic lifting, running multiple km’s, gymnastics and performing the multitude of other skilled movements was quite overwhelming”.
“I thought, there is no way I can do that!”- he mentioned in the chat we had. But when we got him to reflect on everything he can do now, he responded with ..
“I’ve lost count of the number of new skills I’ve been exposed to and learnt in the past 2 years. My strength gains have been immense and I’ve finally dialled in my nutrition thanks to the extra nutrition sessions with Tim and seen some massive results aesthetically. Most importantly, I’ve come to the realisation that “Life is an athletic pursuit” and being in good condition physically has massive carryover to all other aspects of being. I have more energy, confidence, improved mental clarity and fortitude which has a direct and positive correlation to my academic and all other pursuits.”
Not bad for a bloke who self confesses that he was skinny (think full set of ribs), aerobically unfit, lacked motivation and would give up as soon a task got mildly challenging.
We asked Vats why he took so long to join BBB and whether or not he wished he joined earlier.
He responded with:
“I got a personal trainer at a globo gym and realised soon enough that most of them operate on “bro science” principles and I was just wasting my money/risking injury without seeing much value for money. I was skeptical that you guys would be the same.”
“It wasn’t until I took the leap and had a discovery chat with Brando where he explained concepts of progression and scaling the intensity to master new movements/skills that gave me the confidence to finally take the leap.
I had nothing to lose at that point and decided to give BBB a try. SOOO glad I did.”
What we love most about Vat’s journey is that he got such great results with us early on, and then once he reached a point where he was happy with his body composition and skill set, he decided to chill out for a while and enjoy his new lifestyle that he created.
Rather than stopping and throwing in the towel when he was enjoying his plateau, he held onto his gains for a few months and then came back bigger and better than ever.
He knuckled down his training (even coming in and doing extras), booked a nutrition session with Tim (and stuck to the process) and reaped the rewards of rocking a sexy looking six-pack.
Vats has told us that he has only touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what his body is capable of and the BBB environment is where he is most comfortable exploring these possibilities.
We can’t wait to see what he achieves next.
